Question 1

What Distinguishes Your EV Chargers From The Competitors?

Accepted Answer

Before you choose an EV charger, you should look into the safety ratings and reliability of the brand and installation company. Our team can guarantee proper installation, but warranties and manufacturer errors are the responsibility of the manufacturing company. Quality units should have weather resistant materials, high charging speeds, flexible cables, and other components to help it withstand consistent use. We offer Tesla chargers, universal, and NACS chargers.

Question 2

Can Cold Weather Impact My Vehicle And EV Charger?

Accepted Answer

Yes, colder temperatures can reduce fuel economy for electric vehicles. Lower temperatures can extend charging time, causing less charging power and shorter driving ranges. If temperatures are dropping, consider parking indoors or planning for a longer charge if you need to take the vehicle on a long trip. Research shows that an EV battery takes in 36% less energy during cold weather.

Question 3

Will I Be Without Power During An Electrical Panel Upgrade?

Accepted Answer

Yes, power will be shut off to protect the workers upgrading your electrical panel. The electricians will coordinate with utility providers to disconnect the power at the meter. This is done so that new electrical wires, components, and the panel can be installed safely. You can expect around 4 to 8 hours without power to ensure that the risk of fire or injury is lowered.

Question 4

Do I Need To Rewire My House For Upgrades Or EV Charger Installation?

Accepted Answer

In many cases, a home does not need to be rewired to handle an EV charger installation. This is where upgrading your electrical panel can be a helpful service, as the panel which controls the energy output is where the charger will be installed. Rewiring may be required when you have unsafe wiring, insufficient energy capacity, or the home does not meet local codes.

Question 5

Can I Install A Tesla Charger Myself?

Accepted Answer

Tesla chargers require professional installation by a licensed electrician to meet local codes, manufacturer warranty requirements, and safety standards. Improper installation can lead to fire hazards, voided warranties, and failed inspections. Our Tesla Energy Certified installers handle the permitting, wiring, and configuration so your charger is safe, reliable, and fully covered.

Question 6

How Long Does A Tesla Charger Installation Take?

Accepted Answer

Most Tesla charger installations are completed in a single visit, typically 2 to 4 hours depending on your panel location and whether a panel upgrade is needed. We coordinate any required permits and inspections so the process is turnkey from start to finish.

Question 7

What Size Whole Home Generator Do I Need?

Accepted Answer

Generator sizing depends on the square footage of your home, the appliances you want to keep running, and whether you want whole-home or essential-circuit coverage. We perform a load assessment to recommend the right kW unit — typically 18kW to 26kW for most Northern Utah homes — so your family stays comfortable through any outage.

Question 8

How Long Will A Whole Home Generator Run During An Outage?

Accepted Answer

Standby generators run on natural gas or propane, so they can keep your home powered for as long as the fuel supply is available — days or even weeks if needed. They start automatically within seconds of an outage and shut themselves off once utility power is restored, with no refueling required.

Question 9

Are Generator And Tesla Charger Installations Covered By A Warranty?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We stand behind our workmanship with a labor warranty, and the equipment itself is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. As a Tesla Energy Certified Installer, we ensure your Tesla charger is registered correctly so the full manufacturer warranty applies. We'll walk you through exactly what's covered before we start.
